Shreya Ghoshal was presented, by the President of India, the National Film Award for the Best Female Singer at the 55th National Film Awards ceremony held at a grand function in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
Amidst cheers, Shreya Ghoshal sang the foot tapping "Yeh Ishq Hai'( Jab We Met) ; the song which fetched her this national recognition. By performing live at the Awards, Shreya created history for being the first singer ever to have performed at a National Film Award ceremony.
